Great Britain’s leading four-man bobsleigh team, piloted by Brad Hall, claimed a second World Cup win of the season in St Moritz.

Together with team-mates Taylor Lawrence, Arran Gulliver and Leon Greenwood, Hall led the British crew to victory by 0.21 seconds on the legendary Swiss track.

Germany’s World Cup leader Francesco Friedrich was second, while compatriot Johannes Lochner was third.

Hall’s fifth career World Cup win in the four-man strengthened his place in second in this season’s overall standings, with 1,044 points, and helped cut Friedrich’s lead to 51 points.

Friedrich has won the overall four-man World Cup bobsleigh title for the past six seasons and had won three of the four previous races this season.

After setting the fastest time in the first run by 0.13 seconds, Hall extended that advantage in the second run to win in a total time of two minutes 11.59 seconds.

The GB crew had previously won in Winterberg, Germany, on 5 January.

The sixth leg of eight in the World Cup four-man series takes place on the same track on Sunday.
