What inspires people to give is as complex and diverse as the people who decide to give.
Many are obviously driven by the needs of women and children who find themselves requiring support from WISH Safe House. Regina Transition House,YWCA’s Isabel Johnson Shelter and SOFIA House, all of which are sponsored by Regina Leader-Post Christmas Cheer Fund.
It’s hard not to be moved by those who find themselves in impossible situations, but still find the resiliency to move forward with their lives. It’s hard not to be moved by those who dedicate their lives to helping these women through difficult times.

Our list of donors is filled with the names of those who have generously given to this year’s cause — some donated in their own name, but many are giving in memory of others.
Some donations are simply labeled anonymous and sometimes the best gifts are from those we never knew.
The beauty of it is, there’s never a wrong reason to donate.
Your reasons are your own and you can choose whether to share them.
With the holiday season coming to an end, this may be your last chance to donate in 2024.
You can ask for a tax receipt that provides a modest break when filing in the spring.
Whatever your reasons, please considering joining the below list of people who — for their own reasons — have decided to give to this worthy cause:
Lee Ann Brown (in memory of Donovan Brown) $100
Francis and Maureen $50
Robert Fink $200
Allan Heselton (in memory of Georgina Heselton) $250
Anonymous (in honour of Karen Hack, in lieu of Christmas gift) $50
Anonymous (in memory of Morley and Elaine Wood) $150
Karen and Mark Cherry (in memory of Elaine, Tommy and Peter) $200
Jeannie Essey (in memory of my husband, Robert “Tim” Essey) $100
