Concrete pumper, 27, dies fighting for Ukrainian Armed Forces

An inquest was opened into the death of Oliver Bovey at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Tuesday (January 14).
The court heard that the 27-year-old, who was a concrete pumper who resided in Highbury Road Torquay, Devon, died on November 27 last year in Hryhorivka, Bakhmut District, Donetsk Region, Ukraine.

It is reported he was killed in action while serving with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
A medical cause of death has been provided as ‘gunshot wound’.
Senior coroner Darren Salter has set a date for a full inquest to take place into Mr Bovey’s death.
It is scheduled to take place in Oxford on June 24 at 10am.
