Danny Jones has issued a public apology to his wife and family as he spoke for the first time after being caught having a ‘drunken kiss’ with his I’m A Celebrity co-star Maura Higgins.
Danny and Maura reportedly partied together until 6am after they both attended the BRIT Awards 2025 earlier this month. Reports broke the night after the awards, which took place at London’s O2 on March 1, with a video circulating online appearing to show McFly star kissing his former campmate Maura at an afterparty.
Danny has now spoken for the first time since hitting the headlines and in a statement posted on his Instagram account on Friday (March 14), the I’m A Celebr winner said he was ‘sorry it had taken him a while’ to address the speculation.
He said in a typed-out message on his Instagram Story: “Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
The 39-year-old musician continued: “I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
Danny has been married to former Miss England Georgia Horsley, who he shares one child with, for 10 years. They have been in a relationship since 2010, tying the knot in front of their friends and family while on a holiday to Cyprus in 2014. They have also since welcomed son Cooper, now seven, into the world.
Danny’s statement comes after he and Georgia were seen Tuesday afternoon (March 11), showing a united front as they embarked for a walk in Richmond, West London.
Spotted having a coffee and chatting, Danny was wearing a green cap, black hoodie, white t-shirt, black joggers and a pair of black trainers. Georgia, meanwhile, wore a pair of shades on her hair, a maroon jumper, matching leggings and white trainers.
